Spanish R&B singer IreneB is back to share her “exclusive” new single V.I.P.

V.I.P is the name of IreneB’s new single from her long awaited new album, “Welcome Back”.

In this song, set to be released on June 4th, the Spaniard songstress is joined by rapper Nate Walka, also known for his work as a songwriter on hit songs like Blame It, by Jamie Foxx, or Say Aah, by Trey Songz.

IreneB released her first full length album, “Metamorphosis” (Rama Music), three years ago, making her the first Spaniard to release an English R&B album worldwide.

After the success of “Metamorphosis” –with performances in Spain, UK, Germany and throughout the US–, and after collaborating with renowned jazz fusion artist Jeff Lorber, IreneB commits in this new album to a more urban sound, closer in style to the artists that influenced her in the beginning of her career, like Mariah Carey, Aaliyah, Alicia Keys and the recently deceased, Whitney Houston.

V.I.P has all the ingredients to become a Summer hit and, to top it all off, comes with an original and dynamic video –filmed in Miami and Madrid– with priceless collaborations from drag queen Pupi Poisson and the boys and girls from Wosap dance school.

In V.I.P., the Singer from Barcelona makes an ironic statement about how success can change relationships between people: The main character of the song, who was in love with a boy when she was younger and rejected, is now being stalked by him, because he realizes her fame. “We’ve all heard stories like that, where a famous person explains how their past love comes back years later, trying to take advantage of their success” – Says IreneB.

“Welcome Back” is, in IreneB’s own words: “A 90s tribute record, for the people who’ve followed me since my humble beginnings and enjoyed the same songs and groups that I’ve always loved and felt a connection to; I think this is the best moment for this kind of record”.

So, enjoy V.I.P., –set to be released on June 4th– as an appetizer for those of you who love 90s R&B or want to discover it.
